Cameron Biddle (Vredestein Basso) continued his winning form by taking victory in the Solihull CC hill climb on Winwood Heath Road, while Gabriella Homer (Team Boompods) took the women’s win.
Biddle, aged 22, won the previous week in the Mid-Devon CC event and added his second win in as many weeks on local roads in Halesowen.
The Winwood Head Road Climb saw riders tackle the 0.9 kilometre climb through the Great Farley Wood.
Starting gently before rising steeply to around 17% and then levelling out slightly before kicking up again to the finish.
Biddle took a clear victory clocking a winning time of two minutes and 47.2 seconds over the short climb.
Juvenile Tomos Pattinson (Halesowen A&CC) led the chase for second in 3-09.4 ahead of team-mate and leading junior Charlie Genner (3-15.5).
Graham Martin (Banbury Star Cyclists’ Club) was leading veteran rider clocking 3-37.9 ahead of Thomas Robb (Bedfordshire Road RT) in second 3-47.4 while Mark Shepherd (Sportstest RT) finished third veteran in 4-00.7.
Homer has been competing in 10-mile events so far since lockdown and won the Midlands VTTA 10.
This was the 20-year-olds first open hill climb and she took victory in a time of 4-50.9.
Nicola Greenwood (University of Birmingham CC) took second in 5-04.9 while veteran Sarah Davey (Cowley Road Condors CC) finished in third (5-29.0).
Quickest juvenile girl was Jaime Downing (Black Country Triathletes) who clocked 5-43.5.
