Rising talent Hayden Allen (PMRR) provided an upset in the Pendle Forest CC (Circuit of Ingleborough) while Christina Wiejak (Jadan CycleSpace - Vive Le Velo) continued her dominance in the women’s category.
Previous winner of the last running of the event, Richard Bideau (Pendle Forest CC) had to settle for third as 25-year-old Allen clocked a winning time of one hour, three minutes and 12 seconds.
The L271 course takes riders through the picturesque Yorkshire Dales National Park with a hilly route include technical sections.
The circuit saw riders complete a loop starting from Ingleton before travelling south to Settle and back north through Stainforth and continuing with the junction of the B6255 before the final six-mile headwind section back to Ingleton.
Last year the event was cancelled due to water and snow on the course, but much kinder conditions greeted riders on this occasion.
In 2018 Bideau won in 1:03.13 but Allen bettered that time by one second on this occasion to take the title (1:03.12).
Allen also won the Otley CC 50 and Rutland CC 10 last season, but it was his first on the iconic course.
Veteran rider Ben Harrison (Crimson Orientation Marketing RT) finished eighth in the 2017 version of the event but went over three minutes quicker this year to finish second in 1:03.30.
Meanwhile, scratch rider Bideau had to settle for third in a time of 1:03.53.
Just off the podium places were junior riders Francis Woodcock (Team SB Hub) who finished fifth (1:05.02) and Aidan Lawrence (HMT Hospitals Giant CT) sixth in 1:05.41.
Meanwhile, Wiejak continued her dominance of the hilly events in the women’s category to win by over eight minutes around the Circuit of Ingleborough.
After already winning the North Lancs RC Hilly and Velo Club Cumbria events Wiejak made it a hat-trick of wins clocking one hour, 14 minutes and three seconds.
Taking second place was Victoria Peel (Pendle Forest CC) in 1:22.31.
