In wonderfully dry and still autumnal conditions, Ed Laverack took the overall honours with a new course record of 6 minutes 41 seconds. The standard proved to be exceptional as second placed male was Tom Nancarrow only two seconds shy of the previous course record (6.51, Tejvan Pettinger), clocking 6 minutes 53 seconds. Richard Gildea rounded out the men’s podium with a similarly excellent 6 minutes 54 seconds.
In the women's competition, Olivia Bentley edged out Nicole Coates by just three-tenths of a second, with both riders clocking a brilliant time of 8 minutes 42 seconds. Kate Mactear completed a strong women's podium with 8 minutes 48 seconds.
