Liam Bromiley (University of Bath CC) clinched another victory in the Westbury Wheelers 26-mile event on the U33 at Kilmington in Devon, clocking a time of 59.21.
The student, who clinched the university 10-mile national title last month, took a comfortable 42-second victory on this occasion, clocking an average speed of 26.28 miles per hour over the hilly course.
The new course saw riders tackle Druley Hill at the finish.
Behind the 23-year-old Matt Burden (73 Degrees Bicycles) ended his run of three straight victories with a time of 1:00.03 while host club rider David Janes rounded off the podium with a 1:01.21.
The women’s prize was won by Joanne Jaggo (Performance Cycles CC) whose time of 1:14.54 was enough to edge out Jenny Lee (Yeovil CC) who was 28 seconds slower.
