Matt Sinclair (Lutterworth Cycle Centre) clocked a 20.13 to retain his title in the Melton Olympic 10 mile time trial.
The 37-year-old won a string of races last season and finished 19th in the National 25 Championships.
Despite posting a much slower time than the 19.39 he posted to win the same event last season his ride was more than enough to take victory on the out and back pan flat circuit.
Behind the battle for second was won by Daniel Barnett (Team Bottrill) who clocked 20.35- some 22 seconds back from the day’s winner.
Rounding off the podium in third was Ian Guilor (Mapperley CC) in 20.44.
Fastest woman on the day was Louise Day (Team Swift) in 24.43, while Tom Chandler (Champion System/VCUK) was first junior in 21.52.
