***COURSE CHANGE TO U7B***
We are very sorry to have heard that roadworks will be on the U102 course on the 30th of March. Therefore the course will now be held on the U7B. This is still cyclable from Bristol and we hope that this doesn't inconvenience anyone. Thank you for your understanding.
Time to stretch out your hammies and get aero as we invite riders of all abilities to ride 10 miles as fast as you can in our annual open Time Trial.
This event is open to everyone from across the land, so you (yes - YOU) are warmly welcome to enter - no matter how fast, slow, old or chopper-esque. Never tried a TT? Give this one a shot. We take pride in having a large range of abilities enter our events. There’ll be cake available afterwards in any case.
HQ and Parking: Falfield Village Hall, A38, Falfield, Wotton-under-Edge GL12 8DH
The HQ will be open from 8:15. All competitors must sign on before and after. Please remember to return your race number after your ride. Please do not wear cycling shoes in the HQ. Please do not leave bikes or any other valuables unattended around the building.
Course Description: The course reference number is U7B.
Start : OS Landranger map number 162. Start on A38 in northern end of layby (GR695963) approximately half a mile south of Newport. Proceed north on the A38 through Berkeley Road and over the railway bridges to the Slimbridge roundabout where turn (5.3 miles). Circle and retrace south on the A38 to finish on opposite side of the road to a bus stop just south of Newport (GR698971) approx. ¼ mile before the start. A simple out and back course.
Directions from HQ: Leave Falfield village hall and cycle north on the A38. The race course is on the A38 so proceed 2.4 miles to the start.
