Veteran Christopher Gibbard led a one-two for host club Bynea CC by stomping to victory in their 25-mile event, while Amanda Lane (North Dock Dredgers Tri) won the women’s event.
Gibbard, aged 40, took his second win from as many events this season in a time of 51 minutes and two seconds.
The R25/4 saw riders start on the A4069 down to Llandovery before traveling across to the A40 down to Llandeilo before making the return journey to Llandovery finishing on the A40.
Gibbard won the Welsh Championship 50-mile event last season and was runner-up in the Welsh CA 12-hour and 30-mile events.
Last month Gibbard won the Port Talbot Whls 2-up TTT on his first outing of 2022 alongside Philip Tucker with the pair clocking 52-02.
Tucker had to settle for runner-up on this occasion finishing two minutes and 14 seconds behind his team-mate in a time of 53-16.
In just his third open time trial Sion Slyman (Swansea Vale Tri) finished in third placed overall in 54-10.
Spindata had predicted a victory for Gibbard with his finishing time 37 seconds slower than the predicted 50-25 time.
Para-cyclist Will Bjergfelt (AeroCoach) was a further nine seconds back finishing in fourth place.
Quickest juvenile was Alex Coles (Evolution Racing Academy) recording an average speed of over 25.6 miles per hour and recording a finishing time of 58-31.
In the women’s event Lane was a convincing winner with her time of one hour, 10 minutes and 45 seconds almost three minutes clear of her nearest rival.
Veteran rider Lane began her season with a victory in the Bynea 10 clocking 26-44 on that occasion and made it two from two in the 25-mile event.
Jennifer Aylward (Cycle Specific) was the only other woman competitor and the fellow veteran completed the course in 1-13-46.
