Michael Gill led a one-two for Saint Piran beating a strong field in the Melton Olympic 10, while Amber Harding (Exeter Triathlon Club) was a clear winner in the women’s event.
Despite a tough crosswind Gill, aged 23, from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, clocked a season fastest 10-mile time of 19 minutes exactly.
Gill also won last weekend’s Barnesbury 21 and snatched his second victory beating team-mate Ollie Hucks by 12 seconds.
The A10/3 saw riders compete on a traditional out and back course along the A46 in Nottinghamshire between Newton and Elston.
Gill finished fourth in the National 10-mile Championship last season and is targeting national success again this season.
On this occasion Gill clocked an average speed of over 31.5 miles per hour on his way to victory.
Hucks won the Coalville Wheelers 10 last month but had to settle for second this time out despite going over one minute faster on this occasion clocking 19-12.
In a close battle for the podium positions Oliver Peckover (Ribble Weldtite Pro Cycling) finished third in 19-18 just six seconds quicker than Alex Pritchard (WattShop).
Spindata had predicted a win for Gill out of those starters, but he was 30 seconds slower than his predicted time of 18-30.
“There was pretty tough conditions with a crosswind across most of the course, but I felt strong,” said Gill.
“It was quite sketchy at times so not ideal for fast times, so I was happy with 19 minutes dead and a one-two for the team.
“Ollie (Hucks) beat me a couple of weeks ago so it was nice to turn the tables.”
Quickest veteran on scratch Richard Oakes (Team Ohten Aveas) was amongst the battle for the podium positions but had to settle for fifth in 19-38.
Meanwhile, Ben Marsh (Beeston Cycling Club) was fastest junior with his time of 20-22 enough for seventh overall.
In the women’s event Harding recorded her first victory of the season completing the course in a winning time of 21-54.
The 22-year-old finished runner-up in the previous week’s Cambridge University CC 25 including the BUCS Championship but went one better over the shorter distance.
Leading the chase behind was Matilda Gurney (Spalding CC) who finished second in 23-59 while quickest veteran on scratch Elaine Simpson (Sherwood CC) finished third (25-23).
