Ollie Hucks (Saint Piran) took his third victory of the season in convincing style at the Westerley Cycling Club 25, while Grace Reynolds (Southampton University Road Cycling Club) was equally as impressive on her way to winning the women’s event.
Hucks, aged 23, recorded a winning time of 49 minutes and four seconds which was a minute and 24 seconds clear of his nearest rival.
The H25/2 saw competitors start outside High Wycombe before heading south down a starting downhill and then heading along the A404 to Maidenhead.
Riders then turned onto the A4 before turning for home near Twyford and finishing before the climb back up to the start back at High Wycombe.
Hucks has already won the High Wycombe CC and Coalville Wheelers events over 10 miles this season and took his third win in preparation for next week’s National Circuit Championships.
Quickest veteran on scratch Liam Maybank (Twickenham CC) led the chase behind and secured his fifth open time trial podium of the season finishing second in 50-26 ahead of team-mate John Franklin (51-32).
In the women’s event Reynolds recorded a winning time of one hour and 10 seconds which was over five minutes clear of her nearest challenger.
Reynolds, aged 20, had only previously ridden one open time trial as a youth rider in 2018 but made a winning return on this occasion.
Leading the chase behind was the High Wycombe CC pairing of Joy Payne in second (1-05-11) and Sally White in third (1-07-20).
