Oscar Hutchings (Team Tor 2000 | KALAS) took his first open victory for three years when he won the Bath Cycling Club 10, while Megan Dickerson (Škoda DSI Cycling Academy) continued her strong campaign in the women’s event.

Hutchings, aged 29, clocked an average speed of over 30.1 miles per hour as he clocked a time of 19 minutes and 53 seconds.

The U375 course saw riders head out and back on the A361 on the outskirts of Frome to Beckington before making the shorter return leg.

Hutchings had finished second in the Westbury Wheelers hardriders event 26 miles the previous weekend and went one better over the more traditional course.

Daniel Coleman (Arctic Aircon RT) finished sixth on his first outing of the season in the Westbury event and took his first podium position of the season this time around clocking 20-19 for second.

A further 10 seconds back was Rhys Flint (Cardiff Ajax CC) who took third place in 20-29.

Quickest veteran on scratch was Rob Pears (Bath Cycling Club) in 20-53 which was just eight seconds faster than Nick English (Aerocoach) in second while Steve Cottington (Bath Cycling Club) was third veteran (21-53).

Host club rider Scott Curtis was fastest junior in a time of 23-01 ahead of team-mate Alex Hadley (26-43).

Meanwhile, tricycle rider Wayne Baker (Team Echelon) covered the course in 29-23.

After winning the Bristol South Cycling 10, VC Bristol 10 and FTP Racing 10 so far this season Dickerson added another victory to her collection in the women’s event.

The 24-year-old, from Bristol, clocked an average speed of over 26.88 miles per hour on her way to posting a winning time of 22-19.

Leading the fight behind Dickerson was Isabella McNally (Westbury Wheelers) who placed second in 26-36 while veteran Odette Collett (Bath Cycling Club) finished third (27-53).
