Veteran rider Conrad Moss (Primera-Teamjobs) and junior Hannah Rainger (Plymouth Corinthian CC) took the men’s and women’s victories in the Team Tor 2000 10.
Scratch rider Moss, aged 46, has had another fine season clinching his eighth victory of the season covering the 10 miles in 20 minutes and 11 seconds.
The S26R/10 saw riders start and finish on the B3177 before passing through Fenny Bridges and then joining the A30 past Honiton to the turn and then making the return journey.
A cold air pressure despite sunny conditions made for tough going with riders stating their times were slowed by the heavy air pressure.
Moss was also victorious in the Sportzmad 10 last weekend clocking 18-42 and despite going much slower on this occasion his time was enough for victory by 31 seconds.
Under-23 rider Jack Dallyn (Exeter Whs CC) finished second in the Porlock hill climb and Exeter Wheelers 10 last month on the same course clocking 20-30 on that occasion.
Dallyn had to settle for the runner-up spot once again on this occasion in a time of 20-42.
Completing the podium positions was Gavin MacDougall (Royal Navy & Royal Marines CA) in a time of 21-19.
Except from the top three the fastest veteran’s were: Paul Walshe (Plymouth Corinthian CC) 22.00 (over-40); Lubos Osbornik (CS Dynamo) 21.49 (over-50) and Mark Sanders (Mid Devon CC) 22.25 (over-60).
Junior rider Hannah Rainger (Plymouth Corinthian CC) finished second in the Tavistock Wheelers 10 on her last outing clocking 23-32.
In the tough conditions this time out she completed the course in 25-27 and was the only women’s competitor.
