Christopher Fennell (The Independent Pedaler – Nopinz) continued to build his form by setting a season-best time and smashing the course record in the Kingston Wheelers 10, while Charlotte Roberge (Dulwich Paragon CC) won the women’s event.

Fennell, aged 25, clinched his fourth victory, from as many rides this season, clocking a phenomenal time of 18 minutes and 29 seconds.

The previous course record was held by Michael Hutchinson who had clocked 19-04 in 2002.

However, Fennell knocked 35 seconds off that long-standing mark as he continues preparations for the National Circuit Championships in two weeks’ time.

The G10/42 saw riders start near Dorking before heading south on the A24 passing by Mild Holmwood, South Holmwood and Beare Green before turning for home at the Clark’s Green Roundabout.

After winning the Addiscombe CC 25 in 56-54, Jack Roe (London Dynamo) continues to impress on his maiden open time trial season.

Roe led the fight behind clocking a season-best 10-mile time of 20-04 just 20 seconds quicker than Jacob Storey (Partenza-Nude Espresso RT) who finished third (20-24).

Meanwhile, veteran Roberge took her first victory of the season in the women’s event with a time of 25-43.

On her first attempt at a traditional 10-mile event this season Becca Drake (BellaVelo cc) was just 16 seconds behind in 25-59.

Meanwhile, veteran Reinet Maas (Epsom CC) finished third overall on her first outing of the season clocking a time of 26-58.
