Wheelers 29km time trial bike event, while veteran Sarah Lewthwaite (Team Sportslab) won on her first ride of the season in the women’s category.
Meanwhile Billy Robinson (Cycling Sheffield) and Emma Smith (Elmsall Road Club) were winners of the road bike event.
Bromiley, from Sheffield, used his previous road racing experience to good effect on the sporting course, clocking a winning time of 37 minutes and 50 seconds ahead of team-mate Andrew Whiteley.
The 29-year-old finished ninth in the Manchester Bicycle Club 10 earlier this month but went much quicker on this occasion despite the longer distance, recording an average speed of 28.57 miles per hour.
Bromiley only rode one event last year finishing third in the Sheffrec CC two-up but has already bettered that tally this season.
Perfect conditions greeted riders for the event with a light wind and warm conditions in South Yorkshire.
The course saw riders complete two laps of a triangle course between Hemsworth, North Elmsall and Ackworth Moor Top.
Riders then turned off the circuit to finish up a gradual rise on Royd Moor Lane.
Bromiley was chasing a course record of 37-39 held by Richard Dean but fell just 11 seconds short with a winning time of 37-50.
Whiteley was also looking for his first win of the season but had to settle for second in 38-25 while under-23 rider Bevan Jones (Team Sportslab) completed the podium positions in 39-01.
Leading veteran on scratch was Ady Dench (Team Sheffield) ahead of Sheffrec CC team-mates Daryl May (43-16) and Adam Machan (43-30).
Fastest junior was Jacob Leigh (JRC Shutt Ridley RT) who finished 11th overall in 42-33 ahead of Jacob Riby (Team Sportslab) who clocked 48-53.
Lewthwaite finished second in the VTTA National 25 Championships last season and got her season off to a winning start in the women’s time trial bike event clocking 44-48.
Under-23 rider Lucy Ellmore (Crimson Orientation Marketing RT) won the Bramley Wheelers 10 last weekend but had to settle for second almost a minute back in 45-45, while Beth Grogan (Selby CC) took third clocking 48-05.
Road racer Robinson got his season under way in fine style winning the road bike event in 40-19, clocking an average speed of 26.81 miles per hour.
A close battle for second saw hill climb specialist Andy Nichols (Team Lifting Gear Products/Cycles in Motion) finish in 40-45 which was just six seconds faster than Matthew Lock (Cliff Pratt Racing).
Quickest veteran was David Shackleton (Wilsons Wheelers RT) whose time of 41-53 was good enough for sixth overall.
Nigel Modlinsky (Element Cycling Team) was second veteran just 18 seconds back in 42-11 while Ian Russell (Moda Racing Team) took third in 42-59.
Meanwhile, Smith won the women’s event in a winning time of 58-32.
