Hayden Allen (PMRR) and Josie Knight (Team Breeze) both took their second wins of the weekend at the Yorkshire Cycling Federation 10, while Knight also clocked a new course record in blustery conditions.
Knight, aged 22, got her time trial season underway by winning the Manchester and District 10 before making it a double in Yorkshire.
Her time of 23 minutes and nine seconds was also a course record on the V910 and saw her finish seventh overall out of 62 finishers.
The V910 course saw riders start north of Brotherton before heading on the A1246 and then the A63 before turning towards Garforth before turning for home at the roundabout with the A656.
Riders were met by quite blustery and damp conditions for the event.
Allen, who won the Pendle Forest CC (Circuit of Ingleborough) the previous day, proved that he is just as fast over the flatter terrain to win the event in a time of 21-02.
Jack Levick (Rose RT) got his time trial season underway with a second placed finish in 21.25 while scratch rider John Brearley (Squadra RT) finished third a further 30 seconds back.
“I wondered how my legs would be after the previous day but they came around after the course recce,” said Allen. “I gave it my best and just did enough especially as I had a slow puncture in my rear disc.”
Meanwhile, Knight showed that she had also recovered from the previous day’s efforts to take a clear win in the women’s event.
Knight clocked 22.54 the previous day and despite going 15 seconds slower in Yorkshire her time still secured victory.
Team Breeze team-mate Anna Docherty finished second in 24.15 while Maddie Leech (PH-MAS Cycling) completed the podium in third place in 24.43.
