Tom Nancarrow and Ruth Burrows topped the podium at the Exeter Wheelers Hill Climb that took place near Cowley in Exeter on Saturday morning.
Nancarrow (NOPINZ) was the fastest overall after completing his run of the 1.3 mile Stoke Hill course in 4-17. The 21-year-old last topped the podium at the Penzance Wheelers 10-mile open time trial in April.
He will be hoping to add more victories to his record over the coming weeks as he is next set to ride at the City Cycle Couriers RT hill climb in mid-October.
Richard Bussell (AeroCoach) finished in second after clocking a time of 4-20 respectively.
2015 National champion Bussell has started his hill climb season in strong fashion after also finishing second last weekend at the Weaver Valley CC event.
Chris Newberry (Redhill CC) claimed the last step on the podium after finishing his run with a time of 4-20.
35-year-old Ruth Burrows (Mid Devon CC) finished the event as the fastest female rider after finishing her run with a time of 5-50.
This was Burrows’ first victory on record of the season and will be looking to continue her winning form over the remaining weeks of the campaign.
The 1.3-mile course saw the riders start at the bottom of Pennsylvania Road before making their way up through Stoke Woods to finish near the Roman Signal Station.
