ABC Centreville team-mates Ben Stead and Daniel Shackleton made the perfect partnership as they took a clear win by almost three minutes in the Wigan Wheelers 25-mile two-up team time trial.
The L2525 course is a new one which takes in an out and back course between Garstang and Preston on the A6 with an additional leg on the homeward leg.
Dry and mild conditions greeted riders for the event leading to faster times than some expected.
Stead, aged 36 and from Littleborough, finished eighth in the Sigma Sports Classic Series in Buxton earlier this month.
He was joined by veteran rider Shackleton, from Heywood, with the pair clocking a winning time of 54 minutes and six seconds.
Leading the chase for second place was Coveryourcar.co.uk duo Paul Shallicker and Paul Blackburn finishing in 56.50 while Darren Roberts and Chris Southworth (Leigh Premier Road Club) took third a further 32 seconds behind.
The first mixed gender team home was Charlotte Boothman (ABC Centreville) and Philip Jones (Transition Race Team) whose time of 58.42 was good enough for fourth overall.
