Andy Davies and Megan Dickerson were the fastest male and female respectively at the Sportzmad 10-mile time trial which took place near Abergavenny in Monmouthshire on Saturday.
Dickerson (Bristol South CC) topped the standings and set a new course record in the women’s event after finishing her run with a time of 20-28. She has been out of action for over a month and will be pleased to return to time trial action with a new personal best over 10 miles by 37 seconds.
She most notably finished second at the National Closed Circuit Championship at the beginning of June and will be hoping to continue her winning form over the coming weeks, as she is set to ride at the National 10-mile Championship.
Andy Davies (Cardiff JIF) topped the overall standings after finishing his run with a time of 19-17.
This was Davies’ first victory on record since New Year’s Day, with his best finish being a second place at the Port Talbot Wheelers four-up 25 in mid-June.
The Cardiff JIF rider will be hoping to build on this positive result as he is set to ride at the Royal Dean Forest CC 25 next weekend.
Matt Burden (73 Degrees Bicycles) finished in second after clocking a time of 19-33, and Simon Garrett (Team Echelon) completed the podium after he finished his run with a time of 19-45.
Xavier Disley (AeroCoach) was unlucky to not finish on the podium, missing out by only two seconds after completing his run in a time of 19-47 respectively.
