Claire Harrison and Richard Sharp were fastest riders as the Dukinfield CC staged a rearranged 50-mile time trial in Cheshire on Saturday afternoon.
Poor weather conditions for the event saw a number of late drop outs, but by the time the first rider was off at 4pm the conditions were clear and the riders who persisted were rewarded with many fast times and numerous personal bests being set.
Sharp (Team Swift) finished his run with a time of 1-47-55 to set the fastest time by any rider on the day.
Sharp adds this victory to the one he achieved at the Vive le Velo 25 at the end of April and will be hoping to continue his fine form over the coming weeks as he is next due to ride at the Barnesbury CC three-up 15 at the end of the month.
Ben Norbury (Congleton CC) set a time of 1-49-32 to claim the second step on the podium.
Norbury adds this second-place finish to the one he achieved at the Janus Road Club 25 last weekend and will be looking to add more prize money to his pot over the remainder of the season.
The final podium spot was clinched by Alexander Royle (Manchester BC) who finished with a time of 1-49-39 respectively.
Harrison (Pro Vision Cycle Clothing) clocked a time of 2-07-36 to set the fastest time by any female rider respectively.
The course saw the riders start near Cranage on Byley Lane before making their way through Lach Dennis and along the A530 towards Middlewich to finish.
