Ben Stowe of Arctic Tacx RT took a fine victory in 51.07 at the Hemel Hempstead 21.5 held near Great Gaddesden on Sunday.

The event was held in cool slightly damp conditions in stark contrast to some of the recent weather riders have had to endure.

The usual battle at the sharp end between the local hardmen saw Mike Broadwith (Arctic TACX) edged out to third place and second place went to the 2017 winner Luke Clarke (TMG Horizon CT).

But the victory was taken by Stowe by just nine seconds. Danny Axford (Arctic TACX) was fifth overall and this helped them land the team win.

In the ladies battle, Anna Henderson (Cycle Team Onform) took the win by two minutes from Helen Reynolds (Hemel Hempstead CC) and in third place was Karine Jones (Verulam Really Moving) a further three minutes back.

There was also a road bike category with no TT specific aero kit allowed and this was won by Roy Chamberlain (Team Corley Cycles) with second place going to Seam Meager (Verulam CC) a minute behind Chamberlain.
