Teenager Zeb Kyffin (GS Metro) battled windy conditions to take a comfortable victory in the Blaydon CC 14-mile time trial in County Durham, while Gemma Frost (Muckle CC) sealed the women’s victory.
Kyffin, 19, clocked a winning time of 33 minutes and 51 seconds and along the way took Stava segments set by professional road riders in the Tour of the Reservoir National Series race.

The M14 course saw riders travel out from Edmundbyers on the B6303 before turning left at Blanchland, travelling south before turning for home along the B6278 to complete the loop.
Kyffin who was part of the winning team in the Barnesbury 3-up TTT also finished second In the Blaydon CC 9.9 event.
Adam Wild (Tyneside Vagabonds CC) took a clear second place in 34.36 ahead of Mark Robertson (Army Cycling Union) who led the rest of the pack home in 36.20.
In the women’s event Gemma Frost (Muckle CC) clocked a time of 41.24 to clinch victory ahead of Jennifer Batey (EDCO Continental) 41.59 and Fiona Burnie (Bishop Auckland CC) in third.
