Joseph Clark took the victory in the opening stage of the Stocksbridge CC two-stage Hill Climb event at Ewden Bridge, South Yorkshire.
Clark (Envelopemaster Giant Sheffield) completed the 810-yard course in a time of 2.20.0, a sizable 16 seconds ahead of the nearest opponent.
Leon Wright (Team BP Performance) continued his good form, following up victory in the Watford Velo Sport Hill Climb earlier this month with a second place finish in 2.36.3.
Andy Nichols was in third for Team B38/Underpin in a time of 2.38.5, who also had teammates Patrick Clark and Archie Cross finish in the top ten.
Fresh off of the back of smashing the course record in the Hardwick Hall hill climb last weekend, Lou Bates put in another commanding performance to be fastest woman on the course.
A time of 3.09.6 for the Veloschils Interbike RT rider was a significant 41 seconds faster than teammate Nicola Soden.
