Chris McNamara (Nunn-Sigma Sport-London RT) clinched victory by five seconds over his brother in the Elite Cycling 10-mile time trial near Crawley in West Sussex, clocking a time of 20.11.
The veteran and former Pedal Heaven rider beat his brother Simon McNamara (South Downes Bikes/Casco Europe) into second.
Despite the placings being the same as in the Southern Counties CU 10 on the same course a week earlier, Simon did cut his deficit from 24 seconds on that occasion.
Behind the brothers, Peter Tadros led home the rest of the pack in a time of 20.29 while fourth place couldn’t have been closer with Mark Smith (Crawley Cycles) and Mark Emsley (Team ASL360) both clocking 20.48.
The women’s victory went to Sarah Phelps who clocked a time of 25.52.
