In the interests of your own safety, Cycling Time Trials and the Event Promoter advise you to wear a hard shell helmet that meets an internationally accepted safety standard.
It is also recommended that a working rear light, either flashing or constant, it fitted to the machine in a position visible to following road users and is active while the machine is in use.
Local Regulations applicable to this event:
LWDC 1 Reporting of breaches of Local Regulations
All breaches of Local Regulations shall be reported in writing to the London West District Secretary.
LWDC 2 Parking Restrictions
No vehicles, except those of the timekeeper (s) and other event officials, shall be parked in the vicinity of the start and finish points.
The shortest distance from the HQ to the start is 5.5 miles. Leave at least 25 – 35 minutes:
• From the hall, turn right and right again on to Boddington Lane and follow to junction with A4095 (approx 1 mile)
• Turn left and after a short distance turn right onto Cuckoo Lane and follow for approx 2 miles through Barnard Gate to A40.
• Turn right heading West onto the cycle path alongside the A40 to the bridge at Hill Farm (approx 1.5 miles).
• Take the bridge over the A40 to join the west-bound carriageway, take care crossing the cattle grids on both sides of the bridge. Exercise extreme caution as you rejoin the A40. From here it is 1 mile to the start, passing the Witney East (B4022) slip road: take care!
Any riders attempting to cross the central reservation A40 or U-turn on the main road will be disqualified and may be reported the London West District Committee.
