PARKING.
Limited parking is available outside the hall, additional parking is available at Vanderwindt Packaging on The Drove. This is adjacent to the start and a short walk from the HQ. Do not park in such a manner as to cause obstruction to officials and residents. Please park with consideration to local residents. The main A15 is part of the course so no parking please.
NUMBERS.
Will be issued when signing on.
Please allow sufficient time to reach the Start which is approx. 2 miles north of the HQ. Parking in Start and Finish areas is restricted to Official vehicles only.
RESTRICTIONS.
There must be no warming up on the course once the event is in progress.
U-turns Within site of the time keepers are not permitted.
FINISH. Please call your number out upon completing your ride.
IN THE INTERESTS OF YOUR OWN SAFETY, Cycling Time Trials and the Event
Promoters strongly advise you to wear a HARD SHELL HELMET that meets a recognised standard.
In accordance with Regulation 15 ALL JUNIOR competitors must wear Protective Helmets.
CTT recommend that a working rear light, either flashing or constant, is fitted to the machine in a position visible to following road users and is active whilst the machine is in use.
Roundabouts
Roundabouts are a significant hazard, at some points in time the marshals will have riders entering from different directions and may not be able to pick out which riders are on which part of the course. It is your responsibility to negotiate the roundabouts safely and be aware of the correct route
The number shall be centrally positioned below the waist so as to be clearly visible from the rear when in his/her normal riding position.
Safety Instructions to Riders
Marshals will be positioned at the start and finish areas and at both roundabouts. They are there as a visible presence to motorists that something is going on. They will indicate the direction you must take. They are not there to direct or interfere with the flow of traffic. You are reminded that it is your responsibility to check that it is safe to proceed onto a roundabout or other road junction. This event may be observed and incidents of dangerous riding will be investigated.
The practice of U-Turns is considered dangerous and will be reported if seen, especially in the start and finish areas.
Your number is to be worn in accordance with Regulation 16 as below.
Please refrain from using extra pins to hold down your number.
