Following the latest Government Covid guidance (22.2.21) the 57th Surrey Hardriders TT has been moved to take 11th April, to allow it to take place.
However, we still have to comply with the Government and CTT restrictions, which unfortunately means that:
There will be
no HQ
No HQ means
signing on will be just prior to the start and signing off will
be just after the finish.
No HQ means that
there will be No Toilet facilities.
No HQ means
nowhere to deposit your kit so please arrive at the start area
ready to ride.
No HQ means no where to pin your numbers on in the warm.
We are now handing out bib numbers, with pins, at Seven Stars Pub Car park, Leigh. No HQ means that
there will be no awards ceremony and the results will be
processed elsewhere and emailed out later via the CTT website,
and also posted on the Dorking CC website.
We cannot
provide Car Parking facilities near the start area.
We recommend parking at the leisure centre in Dorking (free on
Sundays) and using the 5 mile ride over as the warm up and
afterwards as the cool down. There is also parking at Reigate
Heath, 3 miles from the start area, but we would prefer that you
do not use this as it will mean that you will be on the course as
you return to the car after your ride.
We will provide a route from Dorking to the start with timed waypoints to guide your arrival at the correct moment. (with marshalls to help you arrive on time).
No pusher off
You will be required to do a toe down start
CTT regulations
A rear light will be required
We appreciate that none of the above is ideal, but we believe that it is the only way that we can hold the TT whilst complying with the guidance. We are really trying to avoid a break in the sequence of 57 consecutive years of the Hardriders TT, with your patience, understanding and support we believe that we can.
