George Fox powered to victory in the open category at the Kettering CC Mark Bell Memorial 15-mile time trial on Sunday morning, while Lauren Creamer finished as the fastest female.

Riding for George Fox Cycling Solutions Club, Fox set an unmatched 29-10 to live up to his billing as pre-race Spindata favourite, finishing ahead of second place Ryan Witchell (Royal Leamington Spa CC) who recorded 29-45, whilst a time of 30-01 helped Jack Patmore secure third spot.

“I'd just like to thank Andy King and Kettering CC for another great promotion and putting the race on,” said winner Fox.

“Andy is one of the most selfless cyclists I know, sacrificing much of his own racing to give others the opportunity to race on courses where we wouldn't otherwise get the chance.”

In the women’s category, senior rider Creamer clocked 33-02 to earn top prize ahead of host club rider Maria Cayford in 40-25, while Lynne Scofield of Rockingham Forest Wheelers, the only rider to complete the course on a road bike, finished in third with 45-36.
