Road bike competitor Ben Dodd (Royal Leamington Spa CC) took victory by over a minute in the gruelling ZeroBC Race Team event over 36 miles, while Zara Hannoun (Oxonian CC) won the women’s event.
Dodd won his second open time trial in as many events by stopping the clock in a time of one hour, 32 minutes and 36 seconds.
The hilly time trial saw competitors complete two laps of an 18-mile classic time trial course in windy conditions.
The course started one-mile outside Charlbury before heading out on the B4026 through Spelsbury to Chipping Norton.
Competitors then joined the A361 down through Shipton-under-Wychwood to the junction with the B4437 and back to Charlbury.
On his last road bike outing Dodd won the Rugby Racing Club 10 in a time of 21-10. The 28-year-old showed his mettle over the tougher course finishing 1-28 ahead of time trial competitor Alex Hodgkinson (Ilkeston CC) who stopped the clock in 1-34-04.
Completing the overall podium positions was James Hunt (Oxonian CC) whose time of 1-42-54 was 29 seconds faster than host club rider Mike Logue (Zero BC).
Competing on her road bike Zara Hannoun (Oxonian CC) was the only woman competitor stopping the clock in 2-09-33.
Hannoun was also the quickest woman road bike rider in the Oxonian CC 25 in June, stopping the clock in 1-15-04 on that occasion.
Overall winner Dodd was also the quickest road bike competitor beating Oxonian CC rider Thurstan Bannister into second (2-07-29).
The course will be run again in April when Oxonian CC host their event.
