Silas Goldsworthy (Ryan's Bike Surgery/Thomson Homes) won his first open time trial victory at the Kennoway RC 10, while Margaret McMillan (Deeside Thistle CC) was a convincing winner in the women’s event.
Goldsworthy, aged 36, overcame a close battle which saw the top five riders separated by under a minute to post a winning time of 20-08.
The WE10/02 saw riders complete a 10-mile loop, starting near Freuchie before heading north on the A92 before joining the A91 and travelling west to the Trafalgar Junction.
Competitors then joined the B937 at six miles before travelling through Charlottetown and then turning onto an unclassified road for the finish.
A small field were greeted by a cool and still morning which produced some close times at the top of the leader board.
Goldsworthy finished fourth in the Fife Century RC/SVTTA 50-mile Scottish Championship on his last outing and went three places better over the shorter distance.
Chris Petrie (Aberdeen Wheelers) led the battle behind finishing just 17 seconds back in 20-25, while quickest veteran on scratch David MacNeil (Team Andrew Allan Architecture) completed the podium in third (20-35).
In the women’s event 59-year-old McMillan posted a winning time of 24 minutes and 30 seconds – some 55 seconds clear of her nearest challenger.
McMillan also won the Deeside Thistle CC 25 last month and took her second open time trial win of the season this time out.
Fiona Davidson (Dundee Wheelers) was her closest challenger in 25-25, while Carol Middleton (Ythan CC) completed the podium positions in third (27-18).
