James Boyman (Hoops Velo) took victory by just 18 seconds in the Farnham RC 10, while Jane Barker (Gillingham and District Wheelers) was the quickest woman.
Boyman, aged 34, took his third open time trial victory on the bounce stopping the clock in a time of 20 minutes and two seconds.
The H10/8 saw riders start outside Farnham before heading out and back along the A31 (Alton Road) down to the turn near Alton.
Competitors were greeted by a bright and sunny morning although a breeze slowed their times.
Boyman is a former member of promoting club Farnham Road Club and the previous week’s North Hampshire RC 10 winner returned to local ground to continue his winning form.
He was pressed all the way by Luca Morrone (Onyx RT) who travelled down from London and had no warm-up as he arrived just in time to clock an impressive 20-20.
Quickest veteran on scratch Alan Murchinson (HUUB WattShop) won a close battle for third as his time of 21-03 was a single second quicker than Michael Barnes (Royal Air Force Cycling Association).
Spindata predicted that Boyman would take the victory in 19-30 but his time was 32 seconds slower due to the breezy conditions.
The women’s event was also a closely fought contest with veteran Barker stopping the clock in 32-16 which was 10 seconds quicker than road bike competitor Danielle Millar (Hart Veloce) (32-26).
The men’s road bike event was competed by three veteran riders with Keith Millar (Hart Veloce) going quickest in 26-10.
On his previous road bike outing this season Millar posted a 27-39 in the Velo Club Venta 10 and considerably improved on that mark this time out.
Chris Mace (Farnham RC) was second in the road bike category in 27-35, while Murray Quiney (Southdown Velo) finished third (28-21).
