James Boyman (Hoops Velo) took his second open time trial victory of the season at the North Hampshire RC 10, while Mandy Hibberd (Rapha Cycling Club) was the quickest woman.
The 34-year-old also won the Charlotteville Cycling Club 25 last month and was again quickest, this time out stopping the clock in 19 minutes and 51 seconds – to win by over a minute.
The North Hampshire RC 10 saw riders start and finish near Bentley before heading out and back along the A31 to the outskirts of Alton.
Competitors were greeted by a warm and sunny afternoon with a gentle wind which helped contribute towards some fast times.
Boyman won six open time trial events last season and took his second win of the season in convincing fashion finishing 1-03 ahead of his nearest rival.
The battle behind saw veteran rider Peter Younghusband (Petersfield Triathlon Club) record a time of 20-54 – some 21 seconds quicker than Russell Kober (Velo Club Venta) in 21-15.
Spindata had predicted a victory for Boyman in a time of 19-33 which was 18 seconds faster than his actual 19-51.
There was only one tandem with Farnham RC team-mates Robert Allen and Paul Charman posting a time of 25-06.
In the women’s event Hibberd, aged 47, recorded a winning time of 25-21 which was much faster than her only challenger.
Hibberd also won the same event last season in 25-13 and the veteran rider was just eight seconds off that mark 12 months later.
Rachel Green (Cheltenham & County Cycling Club) was the only other women’s competitor stopping the clock in 29-03 for second.
