Jacob Storey (trainSharp) took his first victory of the season at the West Kent RC 10, while veteran Louise Robinson (Essex Roads CC) was a convincing winner of the women’s event.
Storey, from London, posted a time of 20 minutes and 31 seconds over the 10-mile course which was 16 seconds faster than his nearest rival.
The Q10/24 saw competitors start near the Isle of Grain in Kent before heading out and back along the B2001 and then A228 climbing to the turn at Fenn Street.
Storey, aged 31, finished second in Sleaford Wheelers (Charity) 10 earlier this month - but went one position better and 37 seconds faster on this occasion.
However, Storey was slightly down on the 20-25 that Spindata had predicted him to finish in.
Nicholas Trbovic (Elysium Kalas Race Team) provided tough competition for Storey and was beaten by just 16 seconds posting a time of 20-47.
Quickest veteran on scratch Paul Turton (Team Vision Racing – Silverhook) completed the podium positions with his time of 21-38 some 32 seconds quicker than fellow over-40 category rider Mark Hill (VeloRefined Rule 5).
Morgan Saunders (Hart Performance Coaching) was the only junior rider with his time of 22-36 good enough for sixth position overall.
In the women’s event veteran rider Robinson recorded an average speed of over 25.8 miles per hour on her way to posting a winning time of 23-12.
Sophie Johnson (Greenwich Tritons Tri Club) was second woman in 26-01 while veteran Debbie Percival (Kent Velo Girls/Boys) finished third (27-04).
The only tandem pairing was Anthony Whale (Blue Light Cycling Club) and Jeremy Parker (
Gravesend CC) who posted a time of 29-22.
In the road bike category Ewan Tuohy (Dartford Road Club) took a convincing victory clocking an average speed of over 25.1 miles per hour to stop the clock in 23-54.
Under-23 rider Daniel Fowler (Woolwich CC) was second quickest in 25-32 which was 21 seconds faster than veteran Dave Richards (San Fairy Ann CC) in 25-53.
Liz Sim (Medway Tri) was the only woman in the road bike category with the veteran stopping the clock in 35-59.
