Rob Walker (WardPerformanceUK.com) took his fifth open victory of the season in emphatic style at the North Road CC 25, while Lauren Creamer (Velo Fixers) won the women’s event by just 10 seconds.

Walker, who finished third in last year’s National Circuit Championship, continued his impressive form posting a winning time of 50 minutes and 57 seconds.

Walker, aged 25, has shown his versatility across the distances this season winning the London Phoenix CC 9.2, Welwyn Wheelers CC hilly 50-kilometre, Hemel Hempstead CC 22 and Ely and District CC 25 events.

Along with being event winner Walker, from High Wycombe, also beat the previous event record of 51-19.

The battle for second was between two TMG Horizon Cycling Team riders with Luke Clarke stopping the clock in 53-25 which was 1-18 quicker than Ross Clarke (54-43).

Just 10 seconds further back was quickest veteran on scratch Louise Robinson (Essex Roads CC), while Maddie Angwin (Cambridge University CC) was third (1-02-37).

In the road bike event Alex Carley (Harworth and District CC) took his first open victory in the category posting a winning time of 59-24.

Second in the road bike category was Matthew Rowe (Hitchin Nomads CC) who posted 1-02-24, while veteran Phillip Lovett (Backpedal) was third (1-04-31).

Host club rider Abigail Coles (North Road CC) was second woman on a road bike in 1-23-26, while veteran Brenda Bozwood Davies (Team Trident) finished third (1-52-56).

The F14/25 saw competitors start outside the village of Wrestlingworth before kicking up to the village of Guilden Morden and then continuing through Wendy onto the A1198.

After a brief section on the A-road riders then turned onto the B1042 back to the start at Wrestlingworth and turning back onto the minor road.

Riders completed two full laps and then headed through the start to finish towards Guilden Morden.
