Dan Blackburn claimed the East District Championship title at CC Breckland 30 on Sunday morning, with Chris Holmes winning the veteran’s competition.
Riding for Epic Orange, Blackburn set 1-05-20 to earn the district championship title and event victory.
He finished 10 seconds ahead of Holmes who stopped the clock in 1-05-30, while a time of 1-09-33 helped Lincoln Wheelers’ rider Sean Hunt to the final podium position.
Blackburn has now added the 30-mile District Championship title to the 50-mile District Championship title won at the VC Baracchi event last weekend, a timely way to mark his first wins of the 2023 season from 10 time trials so far this campaign.
The fastest team title was won by the Diss & District CC trio of Roy Rowland, Dominic Bell-Tye and David Gillm, while the tandem pairing of Toby and Kieran Bell-Tye were quickest in their category posting a time of 1-11-42.
The 12 riders who started the event enjoyed fair conditions on the course with good light winds and intermittent sunshine throughout the event.
Ran on the B30/8, riders faced a sporting course consisting of two laps of a carriageway that starts on the A1345 just northwest of Mundford.
The course then heads to the Whittington roundabout before heading through Brookville and Methwold on the B1112.
Competitors then travelled through Weeting and onto the A1065 to Mundford roundabout to take the first exit and complete the circuit, to finish just past Methwold.
