Loose Cannon's Conditioning team-mates Lloyd Chapman and Becky Ridge took the men’s and women’s victories respectively at the Orwell Velo 16.5 in Suffolk.
Chapman, aged 33, showed his form posting a winning time of 38 minutes and 42 seconds along the undulating course – over a minute clear of his nearest rival.
The BS33 was a revised course with the distanced reduced from 20 to 16.5 miles due to traffic calming measures through one of the course’s villages.
The sporting course saw riders complete a route starting and finishing near the village of Debenham in Suffolk.
Starting on the B1077 towards Debenham competitors headed north on the B1077 before heading back south on unclassified roads down to the A1120.
After just over six miles of the course was completed, riders joined an unclassified road straight into a headwind for the longest section of the course for seven miles.
At the 13-mile point competitors headed back onto the B1077 south and down to the finish outside Debenham.
Chapman, aged 33 and from Ipswich, won five open time trial last season - including the Orwell Velo 20 - and was back to defend his title in style.
Quickest veteran on scratch Peter Hurry (Plomesgate CC) led the battle behind taking second in 40-17 and was 57 seconds quicker than fellow over-40 aged category rider Matthew Peck (Ipswich BC) (41-14).
Ridge was an emphatic winner in the women’s event with her time of 41-26 also good enough for fourth overall.
The veteran rider also won the Plomesgate CC 10 last weekend and showed her early season pace with a second win on this occasion.
Caroline Wyke (CC Sudbury) was the only other female rider and stopped the clock in a time of 1-04-45.
