Christopher Gibbard was fastest male while Susan Shook was fastest female at the Virtual Cycling Club 15-mile time trial in Abergavenny on Sunday morning.
Riding for Bynea Cycling Club, Gibbard was the only rider to break the 30-minute mark, finishing in 29-18 to take victory ahead of Graeme Boswell from Cardiff Ajax in 30-52, while the podium was completed by Dursley Road Club’s John O’Dwyer recording 31-25.
In the women’s event, Shook clocked 37-05 to beat Bush Healthcare clubmate Clare Greenwood who finished in 38-24 on the 15-mile course.
Gibbard now has six wins across 12 events this season, alongside victories at Port Talbot Wheelers 13-mile time trial on July 25, the Port Talbot Wheelers 25-mile time trial on June 23 and the Bynea CC 25-mile time trial on April 10.
This event, run on the R15/5 course, starts near The Hardwick pub and heads north-west before taking the first exit at Hardwick roundabout and towards Raglan, encircling the roundabout and heading westbound on the A40 back towards Abergavenny and finishing just south of the start on Abergavenny airstrip.
