Seb Tremlett (Guernsey Velo) took his second victory of the season at the Bynea CC 10, while under-23 rider Caitlin Peters (trainSharp Development Team) was a clear winner in the women’s event.

Tremlett, aged 27, recorded a winning time of 20 minutes and 24 seconds on the South Wales course finishing 20 seconds clear of his nearest rival.

The R10/4 saw riders start at Llandovery in Carmarthenshire before completing an out and back course along the A4069 to Llangadog before making the return journey.

Tremlett also won the Aerocoach 15 last month but on a previous visit to South Wales had to settle for second in the Port Talbot Wheelers 10.

On that occasion Tremlett was beaten by Chris Gibbard (Bynea CC) but on this occasion the result was reversed with Gibbard finishing 20 seconds behind in 20-44.

Andrew Butcher (Cwmcarn Paragon RC) was the quickest veteran on scratch and his finishing time of 22-19 also secured him third place overall.

Spindata had predicted a win for Gibbard in 20-16 with Tremlett second 21 seconds behind but in reality that result was reversed.

In the women’s event Peters, from Fareham in Hampshire, recorded a winning time of 25 minutes and 34 seconds.

The 20-year-old finished second in the …a3crg 30 on her only other ride this season but tasted success over the shorter distance this time out.

Bethan Ouseley (Pembrokeshire Velo) led the battle behind taking second overall and quickest veteran on scratch in 26-20 some 34 seconds ahead of Clare Greenwood (Bush Healthcare) in third (26-54).

In the road bike event veteran Mike Davies (Cardiff Jif) took victory on his first attempt at an open time trial stopping the clock in 28-29.

Anthony Howell (Port Talbot Wheelers) finished second in 29-32 while Martin Jones (Cycle Specific) completed the podium positions in 30-42.

The women’s road bike event was won by veteran rider Andrea Parish (Velosistas) in 29-52 ahead of Emma Davies (Port Talbot Wheelers) in second (31-11) while Andrea Davies (Bynea CC) finished third 33-43.
