Chris Holmes (VC Norwich) took his second win of the season finishing 21 seconds clear of his competition in the Norwich ABC 10, while Denise Hurren (Sole Bay Cycle Sport) won the women’s event.
Holmes, aged 46, stormed along the A143 to post a winning time of 20 minutes and 26 seconds.
Starting near Harleston riders headed out in a north-easterly direction along the A143 to the outskirts of Bungay before making the return journey.
Veteran rider Holmes also rode to victory in the Ride Harder 10 finishing in 19-45 and despite being much slower on this occasion he was winner once again.
Fellow veteran Keith Dorling (Team Bottrill) showed his improving form with the 63-year-old recording a season’s best second placed finish clocking a time of 20-47.
Completing the podium positions was another veteran in the form of David Ackerley (Team JMC) recording an average speed of 28.1 miles per hour and time of 21-20.
Spindata had predicted a victory for Holmes in 20-32 but in reality his finishing time was six seconds quicker.
In the women’s event veteran rider Hurren was pushed all the way for victory finishing in 23-10 which was 11 seconds quicker than her nearest rival.
On her last outing also on the B10/43, Hurren won the Godric CC 10 in 23-26 and was 10 seconds quicker on this occasion.
Fellow veteran Charlotte Smith (Newmarket Cycling & Triathlon Club) was also on fine form averaging a speed of over 25.6 miles per hour to finish second in 23-21.
There was also a close finish for third with Sally Withey (Swift Racing) finishing in 26-07 which was 24 seconds quicker than Jenny Anderson (Great Yarmouth CC).
