Chris Holmes won the Ride Harder 10-mile time trial in Norfolk while Abbey Thompson secured a personal best in the women’s event on Saturday afternoon.
Holmes, riding for VC Norwich, set a time of 19-45 to take victory ahead of West Suffolk Wheelers’ Jordan Black who finished 17 seconds back in 20-02, with Oliver Milk (Epic Orange Racing Team) and Julian Bosley (Stowmarket & District CC) finishing in joint third place in a time of 20-18.
There was an impressive personal best in the women’s event for 13-year-old Thompson, from Stonham Barns Park – SYRT, while CC Sudbury’s Caroline Wyke was second in 52-42, including a 19-minute late start.
The route, held on the new B10/50 course due to road works on the A11, begins in Attleborough at the enrtrance to Fen Street, before proceeding to exit the A11 at the slip road to Watton then following the B1111 under A11 underpass and after a left turn onto A11 northbound the circuit finishes on West Carr Road.
