Francesca Hall and George Peasgood took honours as the fastest female and fastest male respectively at Kings Lynn CC 10-mile time trial in Norfolk on Saturday afternoon.
Loughborough Lightning rider Hall, set a time of 22-47 in the women’s event ahead of Hannah O’Brien from Loose Cannon’s Conditioning who came home in 23-48, while a ride of 26-17 was enough for Easterley Road Club’s Julia Freeman to finish third.
Para Triathlete Peasgood, who competed at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics where he won a silver medal, earned victory in the men’s time trial with the Team HUUB cyclist clocking 20-47, while Matt O’Brien just edged out Loose Cannon’s Conditioning team mate Lloyd Chapman by five seconds, finishing in 21-04.
Elsewhere, VC Baraachi’s Nick Patridge was fastest veteran 40+ in 21-50, while the veteran 50+ category was won by Shorter Rochford RT’s Glenn Taylor in 22-16.
This marks a first win of the season for Peasgood, after finishing fifth at Coalville Wheelers CC 10-mile time trial on March 26.
The route, on course B10/37R, starts on the A10 and proceeds south to Bexwell roundabout, taking the first left along the A1122 to Stradsett then turning left onto the A134 and finishing just past Church Lane in Tottenhill.
