Timothy Torrie and Laura Davies claimed fastest male and fastest female respectively at the King’s Lynn CC 25-mile time trial on Saturday afternoon.
Torrie, riding for TBW23 Stuart Hall Cucling p/b trainSharp, rode the course in 53-06 to beat Lloyd Chapman (Loose Cannon’s Conditioning) who recorded 53-32, with TS Racing’s Tom Hartwell finishing third in 57-12.
In the women’s event Davies (Orwell Velo) finished in 1-00-13, ahead of Team Catenary’s Sophie Lee who set 1-07-34, while Verity Smith (Loose Cannon’s Conditioning) was three seconds further back in 1-07-37.
This 25-mile course, on route B25/33, starts in Fincham before heading southbound at Stradsett and through Wareham and Northwold, then reaching Mundford and looping back up to the finish on Lynn Road.
For Davies, this victory built on previous successes so far this season at CC Sudbury and Plomesgate C.C, where she finished fastest female both times.
In the case of 22-year-old Torrie, this represents a first victory and a first finish of the campaign after two DNS and a DQ at Orwell Velo in March.
