Lloyd Chapman (Loose Cannon’s Conditioning) was the leader of the pack in the CC Breckland 10-mile time trial, while Hannah O’Brien of the same team made it a winning double as she won the women’s event.
32-year-old Chapman went off as the favourite and he showed why, finishing the course in 21:14.
Two seconds behind with a time of 21:16 was Jordan Black (West Suffolk Wheelers) and a further minute off the pace was Keith Dorling (Team Bottrill) who completed the B10/19 course in 22:10.
In the women's event it was O’Brien that finished quickest in 23:56, while second was Verity Smith (Loose Cannon’s Conditioning) who clocked a time of 24:58. Isabella Johnson (Datalynx-Paranesis Cycling) finished nearly two minutes later with a time of 26:52 to take the final podium spot.
O’Brien will look to build on that in upcoming races, next is scheduled to be the Orwell Velo later this month.
