Robert Francis and Nicki Carr were fastest male and fastest female at the Bath Cycling Club 10-mile time trial on Saturday morning.
Francis, the 24-year-old from Frome who rides for Pronto Bikes, set a time of 20-13 on the 10-mile course, enough to see off Bristol South Cycling Club’s Nick Livermore who recorded 20-24, while Nick English (AeroCoach) was 36 seconds behind in third.
FTP RC’s Nicki Carr was quickest woman in a time of 24-12, with Isabella McNally (Westbury Wheelers) second in 26-06.
Having opened his season with consecutive second-placed finishes at Gillingham & District 18.4-mile TT and Swindon Road Club & Swindon Wheelers 27.5-mile TT, Francis followed up on his win at Bath Cycling Club 24-mile TT on March 20 with another victory on Saturday.
The circuit, on course U375, starts on Marston Road and heads north, following the Frome Avoiding Line past Berkley Down, heading slightly north west before looping round and following the same course back down towards Marston Road and the finish line on the A361.
