The J4/8 saw riders start on King’s Lane before completing an opening loop of around five miles taking competitors over to Cranage.
This was followed by two laps of a course heading out towards Northwich and then down the A530 down to Middlewich and then up to Byley to complete the course.
Cold and breezy conditions challenged riders along with a short section of emergency roadworks with temporary traffic lights which impacted on some times.
The field was also reduced by the fact eight riders sent their apologies after contracting Covid-19 ruling them out.
In the women’s event Greenwood was on her first outing of the season after finishing 15th in the National Hill Climb and eighth in the National 10-mile Championships last season.
Also taking part in her first open time trial of the season Martin was just 15 seconds down on the winner in 58-40.

Rogers and men’s winner Ribbands helped Congleton CC to win the team award.
Last weekend Ribbands won the Withington Wheelers 25 in 54-16 and despite tough condition and being stopped by the traffic lights he was only one second slower on this occasion to win the men’s event.
On his first outing of 2022, Sam Taylor (Weaver Valley CC) had a successful return to racing finishing second in 54-38.
Quickest veteran on scratch was Alan Chorley (Seamons CC) who picked up his first podium position of the season in 56-15.
