Junior Harry Jordan (Team Backstedt Bike Performance) was the standout performer grabbing top spot in the Manchester & District 10-mile time trial, while Anna Weaver (Team Kirkley Cycles) won the women’s event.
Jordan clocked 22:08, just one second ahead of runner-up Toby Williams (Velotik RT), while following was Patrick Casey (Cambridge CC) with a time of 22:12, splitting the top three by only three seconds.
With this being the first ride of the season for Jordan he will be happy to take the victory. It is also his fastest listed time over the 10-mile distance with his previous best being 22:26 according to his CTT profile.
In the women’s event it was 37-year old Weaver who came away the victor. She clocked a time of 25:06, which was 13 seconds quicker than second place.
Taking the next spot on the podium was Lucy Rogers (Congleton CC) finished in 25:19, while Michelle Fairclough (Salford CC) followed up to complete the top three, she finished in 27:17.
Weaver had already started this season off convincingly, having claimed a podium finish in the Rossendale RC 10.3 last weekend where she finished third.
