Adam Duggleby (Chapeau! Vive Le Velo) was the winner of the Harrogate Nova CC 10-mile time trial, while in the women’s event Josie Smith (Trek Sheffield) was the fastest rider and eventual victor.
Scratch-man Duggleby won the event in 20:24, the first of only three riders to complete the course near Boroughbridge in North Yorkshire in under 21 minutes.
In second place was his team-mate Richard Sharp who rode a 20:54. Closely following that time for third was Mark Wolstenholme of Swift Racing, he finished a second slower in 20:55.
Duggleby is continuing his preparations for the Para-cycling Track World Championships later this year, and has now won his last three time trials with victory in the Yorkshire Road Club 25 and Seacroft Wheelers 10.
Of the women Josie Smith of Trek Sheffield was fastest, riding a time of 24:20.
Second was Kat Handy (Valley Striders CC) who clocked in at 27:04 and completing the podium was Anne Haslam (Buxton CC) who completed the V212 course in 30:19.
Smith has had an impressive season, as of late she has won the three events leading up to this. Two 10-mile events as well as a 25-mile event, she added another win to her season tally today and will look to continue the streak next time out. She does not yet have an open event scheduled.
