Jack Levick (Rose Race Team) battled to victory by over a minute in the City Road Club (Hull) 10, while Beth Grogan (Selby CC) was equally as impressive to win the women’s event.

Levick, aged 24, took his third victory of the season clocking a winning time of 19 minutes and 50 seconds.

The V714 saw riders start near Gilberdyke before traveling out and back along the B1230 down to Howden before making the return journey.

Levick who has also won the Spalding CC 18.2 and Manchester & District TTA 10 this season recorded an average speed of over 30.2 miles per hour to take his third win of the campaign.

Veteran rider Darren Yarwood (Chapeau! Vive Le Velo) continues his search for a first win of the campaign picking up another podium position in second (20-54).

Just two seconds further back was fellow veteran Ian Guilor (Mapperley CC) who finished third in 20-56.

Spindata had predicted a win for Levick in 20-09 but he bettered that mark by 19 seconds in reality.

Harry Nickells (Lindsey Roads Cycling Club) was the quickest junior in 25-09 while para-cyclist Nicholas Fairfield riding for the host club completed the course in 24-50.

In the women’s category Grogan clocked an average speed of over 23.9 miles per hour on her way to setting a winning time of 25-06.

Grogan, aged 23, finished third in the VTTA Yorkshire 25 on her first outing of the season but was not to be denied on this occasion.

Spindata predicted a victory for Grogan in 25-14 but she bettered that forecast by eight seconds.

Quickest veteran woman Sarah Foulds (Velo Culture) finished 55 seconds behind in 26-01 while Ellen Messingham (Barracuda Tri Club) completed the podium positions in 26-24.
