John Wingfield and Linda Dewhurst triumphed as fastest male and female at the Team Milton Keynes 20-mile TT in Bedfordshire on Sunday morning.
Team HUUB rider Wingfield dominated the field with a time of 43-20, almost three minutes ahead of second-placed Simon Cannings (JCA Equipe Velo) in 46-22, while 30 seconds further back was Team Bottrill’s Andy Sharman (46-52).
In the women’s event, there was success for the host club with Dewhurst clocking 53-51, with Maddy Pope (Greenlight PT) second in 55-29 and Lucie Gallen, also of Team Milton Keynes, third fastest in 01-07-47.
Cannings was fastest veteran, while highest-placed Espoir went to Corley Cycles RC rider Luke Marshall in 48-31, ahead of Team Milton Keynes’ Lewis Muncaster who registered 50-38.
The route, on course F5V/20, starts near the Bikebus cycling café, heads through Astwood village before turning west along the A422 towards Chicheley, then turning south through Little Crawley, east along North Crawley high street before turning north towards Astwood, to the BikeBus, to complete the loop.
