Elspeth Grace and Josh Crow-Stewart were the fastest female and male riders respectively at the 22-mile Hemel Hempstead Hilly TT on Sunday morning.
Welwyn Wheelers CC rider Grace earned victory in a time of 59-45, with Lillie Swan (Veloccino Squadra Donne) 54 seconds back in second and Karine Jones from Verulam Really Moving setting 1-03-56 for third.
In the men’s event, Crow-Stewart (Arctic Aircon RT) managed 52-54 to finish fastest ahead of Verulam Really Moving’s Issy Zimmerman in 55-12 and third-placed Euan Tebbett of Cambridge CC in 55-35.
The 22-mile circuit, on course F11/22, starts near Great Gaddesen and heads past Hudnall Common onto Dagnall, then towards Whipsnade, through Dunstable Downs and looping back to Beacon Hill and returning to Dagnall for the finish near Great Gaddesen.
Grace, 22, continued her excellent form having finished fastest woman in her previous three time trials this season, at Ely & District CC, North Road CC Hardriders and Hainault RC Hilly, and will look to add another victory at Welwyn Wheelers’ CC time trial on Friday April 15.
