Simon Wilson and Rachel Orton finished as fastest male and fastest female respectively at the North Lancashire CC Michael Pryce and Christine Goodfellow Memorial 10-mile time trial on Easter Saturday morning.
Ribble Weldtite Pro Cycling’s Wilson finished the course in 19-41, while Richard Bideau, of Pendle Forest CC, recorded 21-11 and, 12 seconds further back was Beacon Wheelers rider Richard Nesfield.
Orton, riding for Springfield Financial Racing Team, won the women’s event in 25-19
The host club enjoyed success with the fastest team of three thanks to the efforts of Fraser Snape (23-30), Austin Foy (23-49) and John Wade (24-38) to help them take the prize.
Jamie Rabbett, from Sportcity Velo, was quickest juvenile in 27-39, while a time of 23-21 helped Xavier Teece-Round secure honours as fastest junior.
Due to ongoing roadworks the scheduled L101 course was not available, meaning a slower but adjacent course was used by the field of 40 riders who enjoyed warm conditions with a rising southerly wind.
