Gregg Booker (Summat CC) powered to victory on the short but painful climb of Mill Lee Road, while veteran rider Emilie Verroken won the women’s event for hosting club Team Lifting Gear Products.
Booker celebrated his 25th birthday the following day and gave himself an early birthday present with a second win of the season.
At just 400 metres in length riders charged up the Mill Lee Road climb with Booker posting a winning time of 50.5 seconds.
Riders were treated to sunny weather and a welcome tailwind on the Mill Lee Road climb which has an average gradient of 10% and maximum of 13%.
The event was in aid of Yorkshire Cancer Research with all profits going to the charity.
Booker also won the Bolsover and District CC event on another short climb in Hardwick earlier this month.
Earlier in the day Brooker had finished third on the longer Pea Royd Lane climb but he went two places better over the shorter climb.
Kieran Wynne-Cattanach (Team Lifting Gear Products) also finished second on Pea Royd Lane and repeated that result finishing four seconds back in 54.6 seconds.
With his second placed finish on both climbs Wynne-Cattanach won the overall competition for their combined time over both climbs with Booker in second.
Quickest veteran rider Darren Miller (Fusion Cycling Club Dronfield) completed the podium positions placing third in 1-06.0.
Best junior on the day was Evan Schofield (D2D Sheffield RT) who stopped the clock in a time of 1-13.2.
In the women’s event Verroken took victory stopping the clock in a winning time of 1-17.5.
